Abu Dhabi University (ADU) launched its inaugural ‘International Study Abroad Program’ (ISAP2024), advancing academic enrichment and cultural immersion. The program welcomed 45 students from across 18 countries, including India, China, Russia, Jordan, Germany, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Lithuania and the USA. ISAP2024 exemplifies ADU’s commitment to advancing learning, cultural exchange and lasting connections. The program provided participants with an engaging ten-day experience, integrating a blend of educational enhancement, cross-cultural experiences and professional insights. Students engaged in lectures delivered by ADU’s accomplished faculty, focusing on artificial intelligence, innovation and digital transformation. The agenda included campus tours, sports and wellness activities and interactive learning sessions in ADU’s cutting-edge facilities.

The program started with an inspiring welcome session at ADU’s Innovation Center. Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of ADU, welcomed participants and encouraged them to engage in meaningful academic and cultural exchanges.

As part of the academic segment, Professor Sherine Farouk, Associate Provost of Academic Projects and Internationalization, delivered a lecture on ‘Sustainable Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management Practices’ sparking thought-provoking discussions among students.

Students explored ADU’s advanced facilities, including the Media Lab, gaining firsthand experience of ADU’s innovative learning resources.

The program concluded with group presentations, where students showcased the knowledge and connections, they gained at ADU during ISAP2024, followed by an appreciation ceremony where participants received certificates of completion. Beyond academics, ISAP2024 allowed students to tour prominent organizations such as Lufthansa Technik and Yas Creative Hub, gaining insight into global industries and professional environments. Students also explored the UAE’s rich heritage through visits to cultural landmarks such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Wahat Al Karama and Qasr Al Watan.
